A game that will make you forget about reality

"Planet" is an innovative family board game created by Lithuanian game designer Urtis Sulinskas in 2018. Designed for 2-4 players ages eight and up, it will help develop strategic skills, spatial awareness, and an understanding of the natural environment as you select and place tiles on your planets. The game's unique design is a dodecahedron—a three-dimensional pentagonal shape with magnetic sides to which landscape tiles can be attached.

Build your ideal planet!

In the game "Planet," players create their own planets, populating them with various elements such as oceans, glaciers, mountains, forests, and deserts. The goal is to create optimal conditions for life on their planet.

At the start of the game, each player receives unfilled dodecahedrons as the basis for their planet and a secret "natural environment" goal card. The continent tiles are shuffled and laid out in rows of five face down, while the animal cards are arranged in a special pattern in three rows. Players take turns.

Gameplay

Building the best planets in the universe takes 12 rounds, each round is divided into two phases:

Continent placement. Players take turns selecting continent tiles, which are immediately attached to the free borders of their planets.

Animal Development. To receive an animal card, one of the following conditions must be met: have the largest number of regions of the specified type, have the largest region of one type bordering the specified type, or have the largest region of one type not bordering the specified type. In the event of a tie, no one receives an animal card, which carries over to the next round's column.

The first player's chip is passed to the player sitting to the left at the end of each round.

After the 12th round, participants receive points for their creations. The winner of the "Planet" game is the creator with the most points and the most beautiful and comfortable planet for many animal species!
