Although the board game Survive: Escape from Atlantis! Known for its addictive gameplay for decades, namely since 1982, this version offers more: new content and balance for experienced players. Introduced kaiju - monsters that can displace not only adventurers, but also other creatures. A fifth player has also been added, making the game even more violent and dynamic. Balance has been improved, with the island tiles now having their properties changed, adding tactical depth. The final changes make the game even more intense and strategic: for example, you can now jump into the water directly from the shore, and the game ends after opening the third volcano. Every detail has been polished to keep the spirit of the classic version alive and offer fresh, engaging mechanics for new players. Tense minutes and an incredible quest for salvation In the game, 2-5 players take turns trying to lead their adventurers away from an island that is gradually sinking into the ocean. Before starting the game, you create a unique island of Atlantis by randomly laying out hexagonal tiles on the playing field. These tiles represent three types of terrain: sandy beaches, jungles, and mountain peaks. The beaches begin to sink first, then the jungle, and finally, the mountains inevitably sink under the water - the last bastion of desperate explorers. Also near the field there are dangerous creatures that live in the depths of the sea: sea snakes, sharks and giant monsters kaiju. Each player chooses a color and gets 10 adventurer figures, which have hidden meanings - this is the amount of treasure they carry. Players take turns placing their seekers on the island's tiles, trying not to reveal the true value of each character to rivals. After that, rafts are placed in free water areas near the coast and a great struggle for survival begins. Each player's turn is divided into three key phases: Moving Adventurers and Rafts. Players can move up to three units on their turn - these can be the steps of one seeker or divided between several. The movement of seekers on land and rafts on the sea is faster than swimming: on a raft, you can cross several squares at once, but swimmers can only advance one square per turn. If there are several figures of different players on the raft, the right to control goes to the one who has more figures on this raft. If the number of figures is the same, the raft moves by agreement between the players - but don't be surprised if your "allies" quickly betray you! You can also activate tiles with special properties that players collect during flooding. These tiles can give you an advantage: move your pieces faster, defend against creature attacks, or even attack opponents. Flooding of the island. After the players are moved, it is flood time. The player takes one land tile bordering the sea and removes it from the field. If there were explorers on the tile, they immediately find themselves in the water - which means that they become easy prey for sea monsters if they do not have time to swim to a safe area. Some tiles reveal their special properties after flooding: they can attract sharks, release monsters, cause a whirlpool, or even cause one of the volcanoes to erupt. Movement of creatures. In this phase, the player rolls a dice to determine which creature they can move around the board. Sea snakes, sharks, and kaiju can all attack seekers or destroy their rafts. The sea serpent can move one tile and destroy both rafts and the explorers who swim on them. Sharks move faster and only attack those who swim without a raft. And kaiju, moving both on land and on water, can destroy both rafts and attack other creatures. If a creature is on the same square as the players' figures, it immediately destroys them, leaving only shadows of their ambitions. At every turn, players will have to make important strategic decisions: whether to save the most valuable explorers, risking the attention of rivals, or move everyone.
